About Us

Ramal Winfield ~ Owner/Director

Hello and welcome to Bright Beginnings Childcare. I am Ramal Winfield owner and director of Bright Beginnings Childcare. My staff and I are committed to providing a safe and loving childcare experience for the children in our community. Our program consists not only of teaching and preparing children for school and life, but also building relationships with the families we serve. We believe it’s best to partner with families to provide a great foundation of trust and learning for our children.

In October of 2015, with an infant and a toddler, I opened Bright Beginnings Childcare. My mission is to provide the care that I would expect for my children, to other families. It has always been important to me to help change the negative perceptions of home childcare and Assure families that quality is never sacrificed to get convenience or an affordable cost. We offer extended hours, healthy meals and snacks, outings, activities, a planned curriculum, and a consistent learning environment for all ages. We really love working with our families and giving them what all children deserve….. Bright Beginnings!

Ms. Tierra Robinson born in Chicago, Illinois moved to South Bend in 2006. A James Riley Wildcat graduate, Ms. Tierra began working with children straight out of high school. She brings approximately 10 years of dedicated service to children. Ms. Tierra believes, “A good teacher knows how to bring out the best in students.” Ms. Tierra will challenge, teach, and empower our preschoolers to excel in Kindergarten. Through play and learn techniques, Ms. Tierra will build a relationship with each of her students as she creates the environment for active learning. We trust that Ms. Tierra will “Make it Make Sense” for her parents and students. Welcome Tierra Robinson to the BBC Family!!

Ms. Trishana Wright was born on the tropical islands of Jamaica. She enjoys reading novels, volunteering her time, but most of all, she loves working with children of all ages. Trishana’s philosophy on teaching children is simply, “Train up a child the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Trishana understands the impact of great role models. Julianne Gordan, a role model from high school, remains an impactful person to her in more than one way. Trishana obtained her technical certificate in early childhood education back home, where she has years of experience working with children. Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. As BBC’s Lead Teacher, Trishana will lead a safe and fun environment where the gifts of her children will be explored and developed. Trishana’s future goal is to open a Pediatric Center. Welcome Trishana Wright to the BBC Family!!!!
